Frendly Gathering 2018

Dear Frends, We are here on familiar and Frendly grounds. It is hard to believe that this will be our 4th Frendly Gathering and considering we just celebrated our third anniversary, we are coming home … to where it all began. We are excited to reunite with some old Frends – like Martin Guitar who have generously provided a limited OMCPA4 Special featuring the art of Danny Steinman, and Burton Snowboards who are providing one of their snowboards, both will be raffled off in support of two incredible organizations, Vermont Family Forests and LoveYourBrain.

We are also looking forward to making some new Frends, like Greensky Bluegrass who have added tickets to their upcoming show at Stratton Mountain October 7th, and Mulligans Stratton who have provided a gift certificate to complete the GSBG Stratton Package. And, of course what would a trip home be without getting a chance to spend time with our family, Twiddle, who have sweetened the prize pot with two Super VIP tickets to Tumble Down.

We’ll be set up near the Martin Dome, so please stop by, say hi, help us support two wonderful causes Live Frendly and Love Relentlessly.

Terrapin Crossroads with Twiddle / Phil Lesh / Midnight North

We had an incredible time at Terrapin Crossroads supporting Twiddle, Midnight North and of course, Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band while raising money for an incredible organization – Downtown Streets Team. Our first event in California was successful on every level. We made new Frends and reconnected with old ones, the weekend felt more like a family reunion than anything else. We are so thrilled to tell you we raised over $2,500 to support Downtown Streets Team and are especially grateful to a couple of anonymous donors without who helped make our California trip a success beyond our wildest expectations. Happy Father’s day to all the Dads out there and thank you California … we will see again soon! Love Relentlessly. (PS – online drop for the Justin Helton charity pin will be Tuesday 6/19 at 9:00 EST from our Facebook page)

Twiddle at Red Rocks

Hello Frends! While we are still buzzing about our time at Red Rocks. The music was incredible. It was amazing to see Twiddle in such a setting. But, there are more Frankies that need to find their home. Wednesday night at 9:00 pm EST, from the WLF page, we will drop the remaining White Light Frankies. There are 100 available and we will be limiting the purchase to 1 per customer. If you were fortunate enough to bring the WL Frankie home from Red Rocks, we ask that you leave these to others. Now, there was a reason we held back 100 pins (other than to give you a chance to bring one home) – to support a very special charity. Frankenfoote (the art) is the creation of the Gilmour family. Shea, daughter and artist and David Gilmour (father and illustrator) and when we discussed creating a charity Frankie, we asked the Gilmours to nominate an organization. Continue reading!

President’s Letter – Last Fiscal Year

Dear Frends, Being able to channel the music and message of Twiddle into charitable giving is an incredible honor. We are grateful for Twiddle’s support and could not have accomplished a fraction of what we have without them. In May we will celebrate three years of spreading the White Light. This past year has been an incredible one – continuing to exceed our expectations by every measure. To think that our community has donated over $1,000 a week to dozens of organizations is a testament to all of you.

During fiscal year 17-18 we made grants to 50 organizations important to our community. We have donated to crisis centers, food pantries, music education, animal rescues, sustainability organizations, advocacy organizations and so many others. Why do we support so many causes? Because you do.

Beyond the numbers, White Light Foundation produced our first benefit concert, engaged in partnerships with dozens of incredible artists and expanded our sponsor relationships. We have been fortunate to be supported by a passionate and generous team of volunteers who channel the music and message of an incredible band. We are starting 2018-2019 with big plans and ambitious goals. We will begin our year with Twiddle at Red Rocks raising money to help individuals with severe developmental disabilities and follow that up with some exciting event and product announcements leading up to our return to Tumble Down.

On behalf of the Board and volunteers, thank you for continuing to support our mission. Thank you for nominating organizations important to you, contributing to your community and helping us to grow our impact. But above all, thank you for spreading the White Light.

Love Relentlessly,

Steve Perlah

Twiddle at the Vermont Open

Well, if you’re going to raise money for charity in sub-freezing temperatures it’s best to do it with good Frends. Thanks to all of you who came out Saturday night to see Twiddle and Kung Fu crush it and helped us support the Level Field Fund. Thank you Never Summer Industries, Martin Guitar, the team at Stratton Mountain Resort and The Vermont Open for all your support. Congratulations Ian Kilgore and Kyle Beroth on being our big winners!

Twiddle & Midnight North at FTC – Thank You

Frends, We don’t know how to adequately thank everyone for making our first White Light Foundation Presents event such an incredible success, but one thing is for certain, we would never have been able to pull it off without all of you. Your support of the event, cause and mission, is how we were able to raise over $20,000 for charity. On behalf of our good Frends at GoodWorks Entertainment and The Tree of Life Fund at Ferncliff Manor, we thank you. We hope you had as amazing a time as we did. It was an incredible honor for us to be able to present Twiddle and Midnight North at The Warehouse and to bring so many Frends together for such a worthy cause – we can’t wait to do it again. In the meantime, keep an eye out for us at select Twiddle shows where we will be doing what we do best, raising money and awareness for local organizations doing incredible things for their community.

Twiddle and Midnight North at FTC

Twiddle at the Capitol Theatre for Frendsgiving Weekend

We are so excited (and Thankful) to be going back to the The Capitol Theatre on Frendsgiving weekend (November 24 and 25) with Twiddle to support Caritas of Port Chester, Inc. Our dear Frend, Dave Vertino with the help of Victor Guarneri has created an incredible Cap inspired / Twiddle energized charity pin. The Psychedelic Squirrel (Orange) will be for the first 125 people who bring 10 items or $15 worth of canned/non-perishable food to our incredible volunteers who will be set up at the entrance. The second version (Green) is part of the VIP package with a limited quantity on sale at the WLF table and through Twiddle’s Green Room. And the main version (Blue) will be available for sale at the WLF table. And while that would be enough … we also reached out to some of our good Frends to help us help others and – Martin Guitar, Twiddle, Nate Duval and The Cap came through with some incredible prizes available to be given away with the Blue version. If you are not able to make the shows we will also be making 25 of each available for presale as a set ($45+p&h). Drop will be Tuesday, 11/21 at 8:00 pm est. Let’s make this Frendsgiving one to remember. Love Relentlessly.
